Jackie Castorino was recently installed as the 2007/2008 State President of the New Jersey State Society of the Children of the American Revolution.  She is a student at Haddonfield High School and has chosen "Run for Freedom" as her state theme and plans to raise funds to install permanent signs along the commemorative route that was run by Jonas Cattell. This is the same route that is run during the annual Cattell Run.

The signs were installed this week. There is a total of six signs along the 10 mile commemorative route at the following locations:
Kings Highway along the park at Audubon/Mt. Ephraim border; end of Kings Highway entering 130; one on Old Broadway (Woodbury or Woodbury Hts.?); two on Hessian - one at the 295 overpass and the other about one block before the entrance of the battlefield.
There was a write up about this in the Gloucester County Times by Siobhan A. Counihan.

Mark Tresch is working on a project to get a Plaque or Monmument installed at Red Bank Battlefield. He has a great idea using paving stones.

If you would like to help out with this project, please email me and I will put you in contact with Mark.
